Welcome to STORM Studio ("App", "Service"). STORM Studio is operated by STORM Studio ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via push notification or email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
You must be at least 13 years old to use STORM Studio. If you are between 13 and 17, you may only use the App with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, who by permitting your use also agrees to these Terms on your behalf.
We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If we discover that a user is under 13, we will delete their account and data promptly.
By creating an account, you confirm that you meet the minimum age requirement.
STORM Studio uses Sign in with Apple for authentication. You agree to:
We support Apple's "Hide My Email" relay feature. If you use a relay email address, you remain solely responsible for ensuring our emails can reach you.
Tokens are virtual credits used to generate AI-processed photos. 1 generation costs 5 tokens. Tokens have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred to another account.
New accounts receive 15 tokens at registration at no charge.
You may purchase additional tokens through the App Store. Purchased tokens expire 90 days from the date of purchase. Tokens are consumed on a first-in, first-out (FIFO) basis — the oldest tokens are spent first. Expired tokens are forfeited without refund.
If an AI generation fails after three (3) automatic retry attempts, the tokens spent on that generation will be automatically returned to your balance. This is the sole remedy for failed generations; we make no guarantee of any particular outcome.

Subscription tokens reset at each renewal — unused tokens from the previous period do not carry over. Subscription tokens are separate from purchased token packages, which follow their own 90-day expiry. Tokens are consumed in the following order: subscription tokens first, then purchased tokens (oldest first).
We may offer free trial periods at our discretion. If a free trial is offered, unused portions are forfeited upon purchase of a subscription. You can cancel before the trial ends to avoid charges.
We may change subscription prices at any time. If we change your subscription price, we will notify you in advance, and you will have the opportunity to cancel before the new price takes effect.
You retain all ownership rights to the original photos you upload to STORM Studio. By uploading a photo, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, and display that photo solely to provide the Service to you. We do not claim ownership of your original photos.
AI-generated outputs are licensed to you for personal and social media use, including sharing on your own social profiles. You may not use generated images for commercial purposes without our prior written consent. We reserve the right to use aggregated, anonymized generation data to improve our AI models.
If you publish a photo to the Discovery Feed, you grant STORM Studio a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and promote that photo on our official social media accounts (including Instagram and Twitter/X) for marketing and promotional purposes. We will credit your STORM Studio username where reasonable. You can remove a published photo from Discovery at any time, which will end our right to use it in future promotions (though previously published posts may remain).
By publishing to Discovery, you confirm that you own the rights to the photo or have the necessary permissions to share it publicly.
If accepted into the Creator Program, you may create and publish custom presets ("styles"). By publishing a preset, you grant STORM Studio a license to offer, display, and distribute that preset within the App. You retain ownership of your creative work. We may remove presets that violate these Terms or our content policies. We reserve the right to modify Creator Program terms with reasonable notice.
The App, its design, software, AI models, and branding are owned by STORM Studio and protected by intellectual property law. You may not copy, reverse engineer, decompile, or create derivative works of the App or its components.
You agree not to upload, generate, publish, or otherwise transmit content that:

We maintain automated content moderation systems including a prohibited-word blocklist. Despite these measures, some content that violates our policies may appear briefly before removal.
You can report content or accounts that you believe violate these Terms using the in-app reporting feature. We investigate all reports and take action we deem appropriate, which may include removing content, suspending, or permanently banning accounts. We are not obligated to provide you with the outcome of any investigation.
We reserve the right to remove any content and suspend or terminate any account, at our sole discretion, for any violation of these Terms.
AI-generated images are the product of probabilistic machine learning processes. We do not guarantee any specific output, style accuracy, quality level, or resemblance to any preset. Results may vary and are inherently unpredictable. The token refund policy for failed generations (Section 4.5) is our only obligation in the event of a generation failure. We encourage you to experiment — that's part of the creative process.
With your permission (opt-in), we may send push notifications including alerts about new presets from creators you follow, app updates, and promotional messages. You can withdraw consent at any time through your device's notification settings or the in-app settings. Withdrawing consent does not affect prior processing.
You can delete your account at any time from within the App ("Settings → Delete Account"). Upon deletion:

Your privacy matters to us. Our Privacy Policy, incorporated into these Terms by reference, explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. By using the App, you agree to our Privacy Policy.
The App integrates with third-party services including Google (Firebase, Gemini AI, Cloud Storage), RevenueCat, Apple StoreKit, and others. Your use of these third-party components is also subject to their respective terms of service. We are not responsible for the actions or content of third-party services.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR UNINTERRUPTED AVAILABILITY.
We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, secure, or available at all times. We may suspend, modify, or discontinue the App or any feature at any time without notice or liability.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STORM STUDIO AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR LOSS OF GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE APP, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) $100 USD.
SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF CERTAIN WARRANTIES OR LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless STORM Studio and its affiliates, officers, agents, and employees from any claim, liability, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the App; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your content; or (d) your violation of any third-party rights.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California. If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction that does not permit this choice of law or forum, your local mandatory consumer protection laws may apply.
